As a leading 3D and XR studio, we were tasked with bringing Perry, the game’s mascot, to life through animation and immersive technology. The aim of this project was to create a lifelike animated version of the already brilliantly created Perry. Ensuring he could be viewed online and through a specially created Instagram filter.

Taran was recently invited to take part in Birmingham City Councils’ BeBoldBeBirmingham podcast.

This special podcast series was devised to shine a light on the beating heart of Brum in the run-up to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Hosted by Melzy J and Ben Kane, BeBoldBeBirmingham provides the perfect platform to showcase a diverse mix of Brums finest voices.

Taran joined Clayton Shaw from STEAMhouse to discuss the importance of technology and innovation. STEAM and how they feel each discipline compliments each other.

We were delighted to get the opportunity to be on the podcast. Taran3D has a close affinity with Birmingham 2022 having worked on the AR version of Perry the mascot in 2021.

We were thrilled to be involved with Birmingham 2022 on such an exciting project. The team loved working on the app and seeing it show our expertise in immersive tech to a global audience.

With Birmingham 2022 just around the corner, it’s time for our city to be loud & proud! If you haven’t already, check out the BeBoldBeBirmingham podcast here.

WE DID IT!!

We are absolutely blown away to have been named Outstanding Start-up Business of the Year at the 2020 Asian Business Chamber of Commerce Awards.

We’d like to thank the judges & everyone at #ABCCAwards20 for this award, it’s such an incredible honour and a big surprise given the excellent nominees in our category.

We’d also like to say a massive congratulations to the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce for hosting a fantastic event and proving that a virtual awards ceremony can be a smash hit when planned well!

Personally, I am so humbled to have won this award and would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported myself and Taran3D along the way. Special mention to our long time supporters Sophia Tarr, STEAMhouse_uk and WM Scale Up Sophia Tarr – thank you for everything.

As an Asian entrepreneur building a brand in the digital industries, this award means so much to me and I will use this accolade to continue encouraging & inspiring young people into our industry.

And last but not least a BIG thank you to the Taran3D team. I am in constant awe of the amazing work you do and how much we have grown as a company & couldn’t have done this without you.

Taran3D is just getting started and we’re excited to see what 2021 has in store for us!
