on 11th March 2020, we were able to facilitate VR experiences for the Nishkam Centre’s 2nd #InternationalWomensDay event.

A great day with inspirational #BAME women, celebrating achievements, sharing experiences and ideas and inspiring the next generation. It is also great to see BAME women with VR headsets, something I would like to see more of.

Starting off with inspirational speakers such as Deborah Moseley (Chair of Corporate Black Workers Support Group), Dr Arpinder Bansi (Owner of Kaur Values Associated), Barrister Zainab Bibi (Project Lead at Nishkam Centre), Jaskiran Kaur (PhD student speaking about Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, a UK Sikh Suffragette) and Manjit Kang (Real Estate Finance Manager & Co-Char for RBS Sikh Network). We then had the chance to participate in activities around Careers advice & confidence, Mental health & being mindful, as well as an inspiring session on Maharani Jind Kaur’s Jewellery with @taran3d
